Support Agency
Community
Support Agency (CSA) is about people. Our mission is to Assist,
by all means available, those who are unemployed, sole parents,
homeless or otherwise disadvantaged within our community.
In
bringing our vision to life, we are doing everything within
our power to assist all members of our community to reach
their full potential. Founded
twelve years ago, Community Support Agency has developed into
a mature organisation with an extensive network of distribution
channel members. These include state and federal governments,
employers, education / training providers and other welfare
and / or vocational support agencies.
Community
Support Agency has commonality of directors and aims with
King’s Christian Centre, and is committed to help meet
the needs of the local community. This is clearly demonstrated
by its current activities that include:
•
Sponsoring Work for the Dole Projects for the unemployed throughout
Australia
• Providing counselling services to individuals and
families
• Providing free food parcels and preparing meals for
families in need
• Administering emergency financial assistance to those
experiencing financial hardship
We
have extensive experience in welfare, education and labour
market programs, and mentor other not-for-profit organisations
to deliver these programs within their own communities. As
a result of that experience, we provide opportunities for
the participants in our programs to choose, get and keep a
job that is right for them. Experience includes:
•
Job Network Round 1 (Job matching and search assistance)
• Community Employment & Assistance Program (2)
• Work for the Dole Project Sponsor (Australia wide
– over 70 projects)
• Community Work Coordinator (Queensland and Northern
Territory)
• Community Jobs Plan Project (2)
• Community Training Partnerships Program
•
International Year of the Older Person
• Employment Options 2000
• New Work Opportunities
