International Missions

King’s heart and helping hand for international ministry is a foundation of the church. We support many projects that meet direct needs in people’s lives, seeking to fulfil Christ’s command in the book of Matthew.

India
In India, through Dr Ernest and Rachel Komanapalli’s Rock Church and Manna Ministries, King’s sponsors children to provide them with food, shelter, clothing and education. Their ministry capacity expanded with the gift of cars for pastors to travel into remote areas, and many rickshaws were donated to enable families to generate an income for themselves. Recently, we’ve been able to bless pastors with bikes to help them travel to minister to their congregation members.

Indonesia
In Indonesia we support Pastor Hanny Mandy’s ministry, Gereja Pantekosta di Indonesia (GPDI) and for the last 15+ years we’ve also been involved with Pastor Charles Lapa through Life Outreach Ministries in Papua New Guinea.

Uganda
King’s is also having an impact in Mityana, Uganda, through the direct involvement of various congregation members. We have been able to assist King’s Kids Home & School to purchase a 4.5 acre block for expansion of their school and orphanage. Overseen by Pastor Robert & Esther Mponye, this ministry currently houses about 80 children, feeds in excess of 260 children and runs a school of more than 400 students.

Philippines
Through AOG missions, we have been involved in a church planting mission in the Philippines’ Samar-Leyte area. Pastor Guy Ormerod took a team from King’s to Javier in 2007 and assisted Pastor Redem Almine plant a church in a region that was previously a communist hot spot. There are 45 more towns targeted and plans are underway to send another team in September 2008.
