Our pastoral care team are available to pray with you through any crisis or situation you might be facing, as well as giving a lending hand and an ear to hear. We also facilitate two specific Pastoral Care programs:
Healing Hurting Hearts
Grief is an emotion that most people face at some point in their lifetime. Pastor Kindah Greening was confronted with it after the death of his precious 24-year-old daughter. Kindah recalls times of depression, inner conflict, guilt, anger, recriminations and his health also began to suffer. His experience, and desire to understand his own personal grief, gave him fresh insight into the sufferings of others. What started as comforting individual people has grown into a worldwide ministry as he has reached out to help others cope with grief and crisis.
Missing Link Adoption Support Ministry
A voluntary community service to the public, formed at King’s Christian Centre in July 1992. Friendly and understanding support is provided in all areas of adoption, from assistance in obtaining information about birth relatives to help with reunions and on-going follow up.

The Community Support Agency, or CSA exists "to assist by all means available, persons who are unemployed, sole parents, homeless or otherwise disadvantaged within our community.”
The CSA was established 15 years ago and has developed a strong network of distribution channel members including state and federal governments, education/training providers and other welfare/vocational support agencies.
We work in conjunction with King’s Christian Centre and are committed to helping the needs of the local community. This is clearly demonstrated by our current activities including:
- Sponsoring Work for the Dole Projects for the unemployed throughout Australia.
- Providing counselling services to individuals and families.
- Providing free food parcels and preparing meals for families in need.
- Providing State Government funded training programs for all ages.
CSA – another initiative of how King’s impacts our community. |
The tribe has spoken - kids love King’s Outside School Hours Care (KOSHC). Our program is available to primary school aged children for after school and vacation care. KOSCH merges the activities kids love with a positive, home-like atmosphere. Our team of energetic carers specialise in indoor and outdoor games, arts and crafts, homework help and yummy snacks … and most of all fun in a safe environment!
Vacation care is slightly different with planned excursions to fill each day. K’nexion Youth and Community Programs are also available for high school aged children during the holiday period.

Our heart for Community Outreach Projects is really about empowering people to be the church that's called. We run a number of projects throughout the month, including Tong Team, serving pancakes at Burleigh and Adopt-a-Street, serving our community one street at a time. We are now also meeting weekly from 5.30 to 7.30pm on Monday nights for a community BBQ.
